Free Junk Journal Printable Shabby Pleated Pocket

I love little small bits of ephemera -- and pockets to hold them - -but one thing I notice is that sometimes the cutest details fall to the bottom of the pocket and get lost. This design has a special pleated pocket that holds all those small bits without letting them get away.

there are other pieces in the series, collect them all! They are waiting for you in the subscriber library.

Cut out all the pieces. Note directions here show the peacock pocket, assembly is the same for all versions.

Fold the largest piece with the right sides together, about a third of the way from the bottom, as shown. This does not have to be a exact distance from the bottom so just make your best guess. use a bone folder to set the crease.

Now fold the paper down with the wrong sides together, this forms a little folded pleat. Glue or stitch the side does in place:

Add the pocket to the from by folding the tabs down and gluing them in place on the back of the card.

Insert all the little pieces and decorate as you’d like. Add to your journal by gluing to any page.

More Botanical Papers and Projects:

I ordered these botanical postcards from Amazon and was happy with them -- they are thick enough to use at tags or eve covers for little books:

I actually went after them with a little spray saline and denatured alcohol, this took the shiny finish off and made them look more authentic. I still like the real ones, but this is a very nice assortment and an amazing price.
